Two business partners, one Jewish living in the US and the other returned to Germany with his family, correspond by mail. It’s the 1930s, and each are interested in the rise of Hitler, each with different interest.

It’s a short book that conveys so much of the political world of Germany at the time as well as true human nature. If you can get your hands on it, do. It’s chilling in its simplicity.
