Fever of Animals by Miles Allinson – Book Review

The story is about Miles – not necessarily the author, perhaps a version of the author – who is in Europe investigating the life of obscure artist Emil Bafdescu, but spends much time reflecting about and lamenting on the relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Alice.

This is a strange and kind of wonderful read. It’s absurd and strange and confusing and I spent part of the book wondering if I was even enjoying it, and other parts of the book absolutely loving it. Certainly, it’s one that I recommend and I look forward to what is next from Miles Allinson.
