Ada by Kaz Cooke – Book Review

Ada Delroy was a vaudeville performer whose career took her across the globe from her home in the North of England, ending up in Melbourne, ill and seeking help to get accommodation for her final years.

It’s a fascinating journey, thoroughly researched, into the world of touring vaudeville performers. For me, I didn’t connect to it as well as a book, but I think it would work extremely well as an audiobook or, what I’d love to see, as a piece of theatre.
