Fear Street: 1994, 1978 and 1666 (2021) Film Review

Over three films, a group of teenagers thwart a serial killer only to discover that there is a supernatural element to the killing, an element that has caused similar events to happen in the seventies, but that originated in the 1600s.

Ridiculous and wonderful, though at times, perhaps a bit dragged out. The gross violence was most impressive at times, very super gross lots of fake blood and gore. But there were times where it dragged so much that it struggled to hold my attention. For me, I think maybe the format wasn’t quite right…. Perhaps rather than three feature length films, three one-hour eps would have been better, or perhaps like a 6-8 part series?
