Set in ranch life in Montana in the 1920s, this tells the story of the brutal Phil Burbank (Benedict Cumberbatch), his brother George (Jesse Plemons), George’s new wife, Rose (Kristen Dunst) and her son Peter (Kodi Smith-McPhee).
This is a film which received huge critical acclaim, was nominated for awards, and is considered by many to be an amazing work of art… and I just didn’t get it. Yes, it is stunning and brutal, but it just did nothing for me.
