Anger is a Gift  by Mark Oshiro – Book Review

Moss is an Africa-American teenager who lives in a family and a community damaged by violence and racism. Yet, there is hope. He’s met a guy on the train that could maybe be the one for him, but he’s dealing with self-doubt and body image issues, and trauma and anxiety. This makes the book sound like a slog, but it’s not. It’s a beautiful story of hope and anger and frustration. It is an emotional journey, but it’s so good. I’d like more from this world, I hope a sequel is in the works, though if I have to satisfy myself with just this one, I will.
