Ah, David Sedaris. The only thing better than reading your books is hearing you read your books. I’ve heard many David Sedaris shorts told on podcasts of American radio shows such as This American Life, and have had the pleasure of seeing him on stage here in Melbourne. Yup, I am a fan.
Naked has some of my favourite of his tales. I think my all time favourite is A Plague of Tics which tells of the variety of strange physical habits that he had through his youth, and how marvellous his mother is at handling his teachers’ concerns. Either that or the wonderful Naked itself, seeing him heading to a nudist colony.
