A Swim in a Pond in the Rain: In Which Four Russians Give a Master Class on Writing, Reading and Life by George Saunders – Audio Book Review

I’m a big George Saunders fan, and so getting familiar with some of the stuff he teaches in his classes sounded pretty darn good to me. Plus, I haven’t read much by the Russian classic authors, so that was a bonus. The audiobook featured Saunders himself reading his parts, with the stories read by a selection of fabulous actors including Glenn Close, Nick Offerman and one of my favourite short story readers, BD Wong. I didn’t love all the stories, but overall this was a great book to listen to during a solo road trip.
